Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 and professionally referred to under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the debut female to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first album she released for the label on Oct. 21 2016 titled Pho where she gained fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 after she dropped her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. Ari Lennox continued to upload her tracks online through 2014, which included the self-released single Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen included her in Elephant Eyes the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole had her sing her songs in the direction of his Dreamville Team in the following year, as he wanted Rihanna to collaborate alongside her on some of the songs. Her announcement to sign with Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. On the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the track Backseat with Cozz. On October 21 2016 the artist released her debut album titled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox performed on two tracks featuring EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video to accompany it was also released on September 5th. In November, she released the singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, in November 2013, she released her debut album No One, and Pedigree. She then appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single in February, 2019, for her debut album of the same name. In February, the music video for the track debuted. It has had more than three million YouTube views in just a single week. As a supporting act She toured with 6LACK in December 2018 on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
