Ky-Mani Marley one of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae Singers was born on February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. Shottas was one of the most acclaimed films that featured him alongside another singer Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records for his 1996 debut Like Father Like Son album and songs like Judge Not (with Patra), Dear Dad", (which was the most popular song on the British reggae album chart) and"Who the Cap (remix), Sensimelia and others all contributed to the rising recognition for the new reggae of his generation. In 1997 Ky-Mani joined forces along with Praswell (Fugees) on Avenue a hit cover version from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was a part of the Midem show (an international music showcase) that was the first time it was staged in Miami.
